Gibson Library

Henderson, Nevada

A new downtown library branch in Henderson, Nevada got its name from the former Henderson resident and state senator, James Gibson, who was instrumental in funding the project. The district also benefitted from lower construction costs that saved them roughly $2 million from their original estimation a couple of years ago. The budget allowed for a 5,000 square ft. expansion from the former library.

In addition, the new branch provides a 25-station computer lab, classrooms and increased parking. A drive-through service window is a convenience for those reservĀing materials online and picking them without leaving the car.
