Construction is of steel with brick veneer, reflecting the aesthetic of the surrounding buildings. The project achieved LEED® Silver Certification and was awarded the 2010 Associated Builders and Contractors Institutional Excellence in Construction award for projects between $5-$10 million.

The Hurst Center for Lifelong Learning is a flexible learning space for community education courses. It functions as a home for events, activities, programs and is the administrative home for Weber State University’s Department of Continuing Education.
